(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(3) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).

(a) Corrosion damage:

(a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
- If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 534111 for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
- If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512300 for general data for paint layers.
B. Corrosion Protection
(1) Apply a layer of the temporary protective compound to the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
