Subtask 53-41-00-941-089-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Ground Support Equipment
   (1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in the applicable position.

B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
   (1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
   (2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a LINT-FREE CLOTH Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-41-00-210-149-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Inspection
   (1) Do a general visual inspection of the lower skin of the longitudinal lap joints in the crack stopper areas at STRG32, external surface, for:
  • LH side - between FR48 and FR70 and
  • RH side - between FR64 and FR70.
   (2) Make sure that there is no:
     (a) Corrosion damage:
  • If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
     (b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
  • If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 534111 for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
     (c) Paint layer damage:
  • If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512300 for general data for paint layers.

B. Corrosion Protection
   (1) Apply a layer of the temporary protective compound to the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).

A. Removal of the Ground Support Equipment
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
