3. Job Set-up

A. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position adjacent to the window forging.

B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
   (1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
   (2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) Make sure that the inspection areas are dry before you continue.

F Window Forgings FR47 thru FR64 ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Do a detailed inspection of visible part of window forgings and fuselage skin in window forging area.
     (a) For A320, do this between FR47 and FR65. Look for:
  • Cracks.
     (b) For A321, do this between FR47 and FR64. Look for:
  • Cracks.
     (c) For A319, do this between FR47/51 and FR65. Look for:
  • Cracks.
     (d) For A318, do this between FR47/54 and FR65. Look for:
  • Cracks.
   (2) If necessary, refer to the ASRM SRM 53002901 for the correct repair procedure.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
