3. Job Set-up
Subtask 53-41-00-010-139-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Get Access
(1) Open the bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
(2) Remove the sidewall panels 162BW and 162EW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
(3) Remove the floor panels 162GF, 162HF, 162KF and 162LF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-17-000-001).
(4) Remove the insulation blankets from around the bulk-cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).

NOTE: Identify the insulation blankets for installation.

(5) Clean the inspection area with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a clean lint-free cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .

B. Preparation of the inspection area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Remove the TPS layer, if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 53-41-00-210-107-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Inspection
(1) Examine the stop fittings of the bulk cargo-compartment door for:

Cracks
Deformation.

(2) Examine the internal and external structure adjacent to the stop fittings at the bulk cargo-compartment door. Examine the structure that you can see for:

Cracks
Corrosion
Deformation.

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the ASRM SRM 53461100 for the correct repair procedure.

B. Check and Application of Temporary Protection System
(1) If the TPS was removed at the ”Preparation of the Inspection Area”, apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) and Corrosion Preventive Compound-Heavy Duty Soft Film - (Material No.12ACC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(2) If the TPS was not removed at the ”Preparation of the Inspection Area”, do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(3) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) and Corrosion Preventive Compound-Heavy Duty Soft Film - (Material No.12ACC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).

5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(3) Install the floor panels 162GF, 162HF, 162KF and 162LF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-17-400-001).
(4) Install the sidewall panels 162BW and 162EW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-003).
(5) Close the bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
(6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
