A. Get Access
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the slat/flap control lever to tell persons not to operate the slats/flaps.
(3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the belly fairing.
(4) Remove these fairings/access panels:
Subtask 53-41-00-110-087-A WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
(1) Install the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION on the flap/slat control lever when you work near the flaps/slats. - THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the slat/flap control lever to tell persons not to operate the slats/flaps.
(3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the belly fairing.
(4) Remove these fairings/access panels:
- the wing-to-fuselage fairings (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-11-000-001)
- the quick-release access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002)
- and the belly fairing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-001).
B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, removed the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, removed the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
Subtask 53-41-00-210-104-A
A. Inspection
(1) Do a general visual inspection of the fuselage external surface and the belly-fairing support structure, below the belly fairing, for damage or discontinuities:
(a) For A320, do this between FR30 and FR53.
(b) For A321, do this between FR35.3 and FR48.
(c) For A319, do this between FR27 and FR57.
(a) Corrosion:
Subtask 53-41-00-916-079-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do a general visual inspection of the fuselage external surface and the belly-fairing support structure, below the belly fairing, for damage or discontinuities:
(a) For A320, do this between FR30 and FR53.
(b) For A321, do this between FR35.3 and FR48.
(c) For A319, do this between FR27 and FR57.
NOTE: This includes the part of the aft cargo door below the belly fairing.
(d) For A318, do this between FR27 and FR59. NOTE: This includes the part of the aft cargo door below the belly fairing.
(2) Make sure that there is no:(a) Corrosion:
- If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
- If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
- If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512300) for general data for paint layers.
B. Check and Application of the TPS Layer
(1) If the TPS was removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area", apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(2) If the TPS was not removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area", do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(3) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
Subtask 53-41-00-916-079-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If the TPS was removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area", apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) (Ref. (1) If the TPS was removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area", apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing & Heavy Duty Hard Film - (Material No.12ADB1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).(2) If the TPS was not removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area", do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(3) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing & Heavy Duty Hard Film - (Material No.12ADB1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).

(b) If you did not remove the TPS at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area", do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(c) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) and Corrosion Preventive Compound-Heavy Duty Hard Film - (Material No.12ACB1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install these fairings/panels:

(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install these fairings/panels:
- the wing-to-fuselage fairings (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-11-400-001)
- the quick release access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-002)
- and the belly fairing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-001).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
