B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
Subtask 53-41-00-210-101-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Inspection
(1) Do a detailed inspection of the door stop fittings at pax compartment emergency-exit, LH/RH, for damage or discontinuities.
(2) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
Subtask 53-41-00-916-115-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do a detailed inspection of the door stop fittings at pax compartment emergency-exit, LH/RH, for damage or discontinuities.
(2) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
B. Check and Application of the TPS Layer
(2) If the TPS was not removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area", and you decide to apply a TPS layer, do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(3) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of TPS (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
5. Close-upCAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY TEMPORARY PROTECTION SYSTEM (TPS) TYPE 3 ON THE MOVABLE COMPONENTS. USE ONLY TPS TYPE 1 GRADE 2. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, THE MECHANISMS WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY.
(1) If the TPS was removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area", and you decide to apply a TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001). (2) If the TPS was not removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area", and you decide to apply a TPS layer, do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(3) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of TPS (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
NOTE: If, after the check of the condition and integrity, the TPS layer is in correct condition, and you decide to have a TPS layer, Airbus recommends that you apply a new layer as a spray on the existing layer. This is to make sure that the TPS layer continues to give satisfactory corrosion protection.
Subtask 53-41-00-410-131-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the emergency exit doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-001).
(3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
