Subtask 53-41-00-010-077-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the BULK cargo-compartment door.
(2) Open the BULK cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
(3) Remove the scuff plate at the BULK cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 53-45-15-000-002).

B. Preparation of the inspection area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Make sure that there is no TPS layer and if there is a TPS layer, remove it (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).

4. Procedure

A. Detailed Inspection
(1) Do a detailed inspection of the fuselage skin below the scuff plate. Look for:

corrosion,
cracks,

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the ASRM SRM 53411101 for the correct repair procedure.

5. Close-up
Subtask 53-41-00-410-076-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Close Access
(1) Install the scuff plate at the bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 53-45-15-400-002).
(2) Close the bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
