Subtask 53-41-00-010-076-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Get Access
   (1) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the aft cargo-compartment door.
   (3) Remove lower sidewall panels 252GW, 252KW and 252NW of the passenger compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-000-001).
   (4) Remove the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
Subtask 53-41-00-010-076-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Get Access
   (1) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the aft cargo-compartment door.
   (3) Remove lower sidewall panels 252NW, 252RW and 252UW of the passenger compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-000-001).
   (4) Remove the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).

B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
   (1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
   (2) If the inspection area is not sufficiently clean, clean it with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-41-00-210-059-A
A. Inspection
   (1) Do a detailed inspection of the fuselage internal structure at the hinge fittings of the aft cargo-compartment door. Do this inspection between stringer 22 and stringer 23 for damage or discontinuities:
     (a) For A320 and A321, do this inspection from FR52 to FR57 at the areas where the fittings are attached:
  • Make sure that you do the inspection of the beam and the internal surface of the outer skin.
  • Look for corrosion and other damage to the metal parts.
     (b) For A319, do this inspection from FR55 to FR60 at the areas where the fittings are attached:
  • Make sure that you do the inspection of the beam and the internal surface of the outer skin.
  • Look for corrosion and other damage to the metal parts.
   (2) Make sure that there is no:
     (a) Corrosion:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
     (b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
5. Close-up
Subtask 53-41-00-410-075-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
   (3) Install lower sidewall panels 252GW, 252KW and 252NW of the passenger compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-400-001).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
   (5) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
Subtask 53-41-00-410-075-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
   (3) Install lower sidewall panels 252NW, 252RW and 252UW of the passenger compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-400-001).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
   (5) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
