3. Job Set-up

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the access platform is in position.
   (2) Make sure that quick-release access panel 192KB is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002).
4. Procedure

A. Preparation for the Installation
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

B. Installation of the Belly-Fairing Blowout Panel
   (1) Install the spring-support bracket assembly (27):
     (a) Put the spring-support bracket assembly (27) in position.
     (b) Install the screws (33), the washers (32) and the nuts (31).
     (c) Tighten the nuts (31).
     (d) Put the rods (34) in position.
     (e) Install the screws (30), the washers (28) and the nuts (29).
     (f) Tighten the nuts (29).

   (2) Install the hinge bracket assembly (19):
     (a) Put the hinge bracket assembly (19) and the bonding strap (6) in position.
     (b) Install the screws (26), the washers (25) and the nuts (24).
     (c) Tighten the nuts (24).
     (d) Repair the damage of the bonding-point protective coating (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
     (e) Put the rods (34) in position.
     (f) Install the screws (22), the washers (20) and the nuts (21).
     (g) Tighten the nuts (21).

   (3) Install the spring assembly (23):
     (a) Make sure that the spring guide (13) and the spring adjust nut (12) are installed on the spring support (18).
     (b) Put the compression spring (14) and the guide fitting (15) on the spring support (18).
     (c) Put the spring assembly (23) in position.
     (d) Install the pin (17) through the guide fitting (15), the spring-support bracket assembly (27) and the spring support (18).
     (e) Install the retaining ring (16) on the pin (17).

   (4) Install the hinge assemblies (10) and the mounting bracket (11):
     (a) Put the hinge assemblies (10) and the mounting bracket (11) in position.
     (b) Install the screws (7), the washers (5) and the nuts (4).
       1 Do not install the screw (7), the washer (5) and the nut (4) that are necessary for the installation of the bonding strap (6).
     (c) Tighten the nuts (4).

   (5) Install the blowout panel (1):
     (a) Put the blowout panel (1) in position.
     (b) Install the pins (9) through the hinge bracket assembly (19) and the hinge assemblies (10).
     (c) Install the retaining rings (8) on the pins (9).
     (d) Install the screw (7), the bonding strap (6), the washer (5) and the nut (4).
     (e) Tighten the nut (4).
     (f) Repair the damage of the bonding-point protective coating (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

   (6) Install the spring assembly (23) on the mounting bracket (11):
     (a) Put the end fitting of the spring support (18) in position on the mounting bracket (11).
     (b) Install the pin (3) through the mounting bracket (11) and the end fitting of the spring support (18).
     (c) Install the retaining ring (2) on the pin (3).
     (d) Adjust the spring adjust nut (12) until the full dimension of the spring (14) is 89.0 mm (3.5039 in.).
NOTE: This dimension will give the spring (14) the necessary release force to open the blowout panel (1).
     (e) Attach the spring scale to the mounting bracket (11) at point X.
NOTE: The minimum force that the spring scale can measure is 45.0 daN (101.1640 lbf).
     (f) Open the blowout panel (1).
     (g) Make sure that the necessary force to open the blowout panel (1) is 38.0 +2.0 daN or -2.0 daN (85.4274 +4.4962 lbf or -4.4962 lbf).
     (h) If necessary, adjust the force of the spring adjust nut (12).
     (i) Remove the spring scale.
     (j) Close the blowout panel (1) and make sure that the clearance between the blowout panel contour and panel 192KB is:
- On the longitudinal axis: 3.0 +1.5 mm or -1.5 mm (0.1181 +0.0591 in. or -0.0591 in.)
- On the lateral axis: 3.0 +1.0 mm or -1.0 mm (0.1181 +0.0394 in. or -0.0394 in.).

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the quick-release access panel 192KB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-002).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
