(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) on the slat/flap control lever to tell persons not to operate the slats.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
(4) Remove the quick-release panels (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002):

PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
(1) Install the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION on the slat/flap control lever when working near the flaps/slats. - THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) on the slat/flap control lever to tell persons not to operate the slats.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
(4) Remove the quick-release panels (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002):
B. Cleaning Procedure
4. ProcedureWARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(1) Remove the old temporary protection compound from the area to be treated with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC , and clean with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) . Make sure that the area is dry before you continue. CAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY TEMPORARY PROTECTION ON THE OXYGEN SYSTEMS.
MAKE SURE THAT THE TEMPORARY PROTECTION DOES NOT GET:
Subtask 53-31-00-916-064-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL - ON COMPOSITE PARTS, CONTROL CABLES, PULLEYS,TEFLON BEARINGS.
- ON LUBRICATED SURFACES.
- IN DRAIN VALVES OR OTHER ORIFICES.
A. Temporary Protection Procedure

(1) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) or equivalent to the pressure bulkhead AFT face at FR35 and the bottom surface of the pressure deck between FR35 and FR36.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the quick-release access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-002):
(3) Remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap/slat control lever.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the quick-release access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-002):
(3) Remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap/slat control lever.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
