A. Get Access
   (1) Remove floor panels 241JF 241KF 241LF 241MF 242KF 242LF and 242MF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-00-00-000-801).
   (2) Remove the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).

B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
   (1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
   (2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary for the Non-destructive Testing Manual (NTM) task.
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-31-00-220-067-A
A. Inspection
   (1) Do a special detailed inspection of the upper surface of the pressure deck membranes and side boxes, between FR 42 and FR 46 at connections to longitudinal beams and support ribs at:
  • Y=+/- 254 mm
  • Y=+/- 765 mm
  • Y=+/- 1292 mm
  • Y=+/- 1650 mm for damage or discontinuities. Refer to NTM 533180.
NOTE: This inspection includes the lateral outer part of the connection plates at FR 43.
   (2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
     (a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
     (b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective action.

B. Sealant or paint application
   (1) If the NTM procedure asked to remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area, apply sealant ( SRM 512400) or paint ( SRM 512300) on the inspection area.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
   (2) Install the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
   (3) Install floor panels 241JF 241KF 241LF 241MF 242KF 242LF and 242MF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-00-00-400-801).
