3. Job Set-up
Subtask 53-31-00-010-117-A
A. Get Access
   (1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (2) Remove floor panels 241JF, 241KF, 241LF, 241MF, 242KF, 242LF and 242MF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-00-00-000-801).
   (3) Remove the air-conditioning distribution ducts (Ref. AMM TASK 21-20-00-010-001).
   (4) Remove the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
   (5) Remove the pulley support bracket (9) as follows:
     (a) Remove and discard the cotter pins (1).
     (b) Remove the washers (2) and the tubes (3).
     (c) Remove the screws (4), the washers (5) and the U-profile (6).
     (d) Remove the cables (10), (11), (12) and (13) from the pulley support bracket (9) and temporarily attach them to the adjacent structure (Ref. AMM TASK 32-33-16-000-002).
     (e) Remove the nuts (7) and the bolts (8).
     (f) Remove the pulley support bracket (9).

B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
   (1) If necessary, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Petroleum Based - (Material No.08BBB1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (2) Do a visual check of the inspection area for damage or discontinuities.
   (3) If necessary, make the surface of the inspection areas smooth with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 280).
   (4) Make sure that the inspection areas are clean and dry before you continue.
   (5) Do a visual inspection of the surfaces of the inspection areas. Look for damage and defects in the shape of the surfaces.
   (6) If you find damage:
     (a) Refer to the ASRM SRM 511100 for the classification of the damage.
     (b) If you find corrosion damage:
  • Refer to the ASRM SRM 512200 for the general corrosion data
  • Refer to the ASRM SRM 517400 for the repair of the corroded areas.
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-31-00-220-066-A
A. Special Detailed Inspection
   (1) Do the special detailed inspection of the sideboxes of the pressure deck membranes and connections to the longitudinal beams for cracks, NTM 533181. This inspection includes the area around the rivets of the longitudinal beams, connection to the pressure deck membranes and the fittings, brackets at Y = +/- 254 mm, Y = +/- 765 mm, Y = +/- 1292 mm and Y = +/- 1650 mm, between FR42 and FR46.
   (2) Make a report of damage during the inspection procedure.
     (a) Refer to the SRM 511100 for the classification of the damage.
     (b) If you find corrosion damage:
  • Refer to the SRM 512200 for the general corrosion data
  • Refer to the SRM 517400 for the repair of the corroded areas.
     (c) If you find other types of damage:
  • Refer to the SRM 517300 for the repair of minor damage procedure.
NOTE: No repair data is given in the ASRM SRM 533114 for the pressure deck membrane between FR42 and FR46 and the side box. If you find damage which is more than limits for minor damage:
  • You must contact AIRBUS INDUSTRIE for the necessary corrective action procedure.
5. Close-up
Subtask 53-31-00-370-059-A
A. Repair of the Surface Protection
   (1) If necessary, repair the paint coatings in the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-003) or (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-001).
Subtask 53-31-00-410-114-A
B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the pulley support bracket (9) as follows:
     (a) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) between the pulley support bracket (9) and the contact surface of the structure.
     (b) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) on the shaft of the bolts (8).
     (c) Put the pulley support bracket (9) in position and install it with the bolts (8) and the nuts (7).
     (d) Tighten the nuts (7).
     (e) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Heavy Duty Hard Film - (Material No.12ACB1) on the head of the bolts (8) and the nuts (7).
     (f) Remove the cables (10), (11), (12) and (13) from the structure and install them on the pulley support bracket (9) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-33-16-400-002).
     (g) Apply a thin layer of Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) on the thread of the screws (4).
     (h) Put the U-profile (6) in position and install it with the washers (5) and the screws (4).
     (i) Tighten the screws (4).
     (j) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Heavy Duty Hard Film - (Material No.12ACB1) on the washers (5) and on the head of the screws (4).
     (k) Install the washers (2) and the tubes (3).
     (l) Safety the tubes (3) with the new AIPC 32-33-03-38-040 COTTER PINS (1) or the new AIPC 32-33-03-03-170 COTTER PINS (1).
   (3) Install the insulation blankets (
Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
   (4) Install the air-conditioning distribution ducts (Ref. AMM TASK 21-20-00-410-001).
   (5) Install floor panels 241JF, 241KF, 241LF, 241MF, 242KF, 242LF and 242MF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-00-00-400-801).
   (6) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
