SPECIAL DETAILED INSPECTION (US AND HFEC) OF ACTUATOR FITTING FOR MLG DOORS AT KEEL BEAM, LH/RH.

A. Get Access
(1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Remove the top bolt of the MLG door actuating-cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-35-000-001).
Subtask 53-31-00-110-121-A (1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Remove the top bolt of the MLG door actuating-cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-35-000-001).
NOTE: It is possible to do the inspection with the MLG door actuating-cylinder disconnected at the top or removed.
B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary for the Non-destructive Testing Manual (NTM) task.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary for the Non-destructive Testing Manual (NTM) task.
Subtask 53-31-00-220-052-A
A. Inspection
(1) Do a special detailed inspection of the actuator fittings of the MLG doors at keel beam, left and right sides. Refer to NTM 533154, NTM 533160.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for damage types, classification and corrective action.
5. Close-up(1) Do a special detailed inspection of the actuator fittings of the MLG doors at keel beam, left and right sides. Refer to NTM 533154, NTM 533160.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for damage types, classification and corrective action.

A. Sealant or Paint Application
(1) If the NTM procedure asked to remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area, apply sealant ( SRM 512400) or paint ( SRM 512300) on the inspection area.
Subtask 53-31-00-420-053-A (1) If the NTM procedure asked to remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area, apply sealant ( SRM 512400) or paint ( SRM 512300) on the inspection area.
B. Installation of the Components
(1) Install the top bolt of the MLG door actuating-cylinder to connect the MLG door actuating-cylinder to the structure (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-35-400-001).
(a) If the MLG door actuating-cylinder was removed for access, install it (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-35-400-001).
Subtask 53-31-00-410-065-A (1) Install the top bolt of the MLG door actuating-cylinder to connect the MLG door actuating-cylinder to the structure (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-35-400-001).
(a) If the MLG door actuating-cylinder was removed for access, install it (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-35-400-001).
C. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
