A. Get Access

WARNING: PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:

THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.

MOVEMENT OF COMPONENTS CAN KILL OR CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR ARE CLEAR.

(1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the MLG compartment.
(4) Take a FLASHLIGHT to do the inspection.

B. Cleaning Procedure

WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.

(1) Clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , if necessary. Make sure the area is dry before you continue.

A. Detailed Visual Inspection Procedure

Side Box Beam Attachment Area to FR46, LH/RH

(1) Do a detailed visual inspection of the side box beam in the area where it attaches to FR46, LH and RH, for cracks.

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the ASRM SRM 53351102 for the correct repair procedure.

5. Close-up
Subtask 53-31-00-410-085-A

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
