A. Get Access
   (1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position.
Subtask 53-31-00-110-130-A
B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
   (1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
   (2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Petroleum Based - (Material No.08BBB1) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) Make sure that the inspection areas are dry before you continue.
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-31-00-210-068-A
A. Detailed Inspection
   (1) Do a detailed inspection of the external surface of the skin in the circumferential splice and stringer coupling area
     (a) For A320 and A321, do this at FR47, from stringer 10 LH/RH to crown centerline. Look for:
  • Corrosion
  • Cracks.
     (b) For A319, do this at FR47/51, from stringer 10 LH/RH to crown centerline. Look for:
  • Corrosion
  • Cracks.
     (c) For A318, do this at FR47/54, from stringer 10 LH/RH to crown centerline. Look for:
  • Corrosion
  • Cracks.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the ASRM SRM 53311101 for the correct repair procedure.
5. Close-up
Subtask 53-31-00-410-071-A
A. Close Access
   (1) Remove the access platform(s).
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
