A. Get Access
   (1) Remove the wing-to-fuselage panels 191BB, 191EB, 192EB and 192FB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002).

B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
   (1) Make sure that the inspection areas are sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
WARNING: OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE THIS/THESE MATERIAL/S. USE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, RUBBER GLOVES, GOGGLES AND A MASK.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS A GOOD FLOW OF AIR THROUGH THE WORK AREA WHEN YOU USE SPECIAL MATERIALS. IF YOU GET ONE OF THESE MATERIALS ON YOUR SKIN, IN YOUR MOUTH OR IN YOUR EYES:
  • FLUSH IT AWAY WITH A FLOW OF CLEAN WATER FOR BETWEEN 10 AND 15 MINUTES.
  • GET IMMEDIATE MEDICAL AID IF IRRITATION OCCURS.
DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM THE MATERIAL. DO NOT SMOKE WHEN YOU USE THE MATERIAL. DO NOT USE THE MATERIAL NEAR A FLAME, SPARKS OR SOURCES OF HEAT. THESE MATERIALS ARE DANGEROUS: THEY ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANTS.
   (2) If necessary, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Petroleum Based - (Material No.08BBB1) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) Make sure that the inspection areas are dry before you continue.
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-31-00-210-062-A
A. Detailed Inspection
   (1) Do a detailed inspection of the AFT face of the pressure bulkhead.
     (a) For A320, A319 and A318, do this at FR35. Look for:
  • cracks
  • corrosion.
     (b) For A321, do this at FR35.8. Look for:
  • cracks
  • corrosion.
   (2) Do a detailed inspection of the skin of lower surface of the pressure deck.
     (a) For A320, A319 and A318, do this between FR35 and FR36. Look for:
  • cracks
  • corrosion.
     (b) For A321, do this between FR35.8 and FR36. Look for:
  • cracks
  • corrosion.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the ASRM SRM 53311600 for the correct repair procedure.
5. Close-up
Subtask 53-31-00-410-062-A
A. Close Access
   (1) Install the wing-to-fuselage panels 191BB, 191EB, 192EB and 192FB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-002).
   (2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
