Subtask 53-31-00-869-052-A
A. Flight Configuration Precautions
(1) If the electrical power is not necessary for other maintenance tasks, de-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002). Then, it is not necessary to operate the LGCIU circuit breakers.
(2) If the electrical power is necessary, do the precautions for flight configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001) before you open the LGCIU circuit breakers.
Subtask 53-31-00-865-058-A (1) If the electrical power is not necessary for other maintenance tasks, de-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002). Then, it is not necessary to operate the LGCIU circuit breakers.
(2) If the electrical power is necessary, do the precautions for flight configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001) before you open the LGCIU circuit breakers.

C. Get Access
(1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Depressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the area to be inspected.
(5) Remove the access panels 147AB, 147BB, 147EB, 147FB, 148DB, 148FB, 191GB, 191HB, 191JB, 191KB, 192KB, 195AB and 196AB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-11-000-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002).
Subtask 53-31-00-010-056-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Depressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.

C. Get Access
(1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Depressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the area to be inspected.
(5) Remove the access panels 147AB, 147BB, 147EB, 147FB, 148DB, 148FB, 191BB, 191GB, 191HB, 191JB, 191KB, 192KB, 195AB and 196AB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-11-000-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002).
Subtask 53-31-00-110-107-A (1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Depressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the area to be inspected.
(5) Remove the access panels 147AB, 147BB, 147EB, 147FB, 148DB, 148FB, 191BB, 191GB, 191HB, 191JB, 191KB, 192KB, 195AB and 196AB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-11-000-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002).
D. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Remove the TPS layer, if it does not let you to do a satisfactory inspection (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Remove the TPS layer, if it does not let you to do a satisfactory inspection (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
Subtask 53-31-00-210-056-A
A. Inspection
(1) Do a detailed inspection of the keelbeam box for damage or discontinuities:
(a) For A320, between FR35 and FR47
(b) For A321, between FR35.8 and FR47
(c) For A319, between FR35 and FR47/51
(d) For A318, between FR35 and FR47/54.
(2) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
Subtask 53-31-00-916-055-A (1) Do a detailed inspection of the keelbeam box for damage or discontinuities:
(a) For A320, between FR35 and FR47
(b) For A321, between FR35.8 and FR47
(c) For A319, between FR35 and FR47/51
(d) For A318, between FR35 and FR47/54.
(2) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
B. Application of Temporary Protection System
(2) If there is a TPS layer, do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(4) If you used solvents, high pressure water, steam and/or cleaning agents to clean the TPS layer:
(a) Apply a full new layer of TPS on the inspection area, as recommended in the MPD (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(b) If there is no TPS layer, apply a new layer of TPS on the inspection area, as recommended in the MPD (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(5) Remove the masking paper or the masking tape.
5. Close-upWARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY TEMPORARY PROTECTION ON THE OXYGEN SYSTEMS.
MAKE SURE THAT THE TEMPORARY PROTECTION DOES NOT GET:
(1) Apply masking paper or tape Adhesives Adhesive Film Tape-Masking - - (Material No.05RDA1) on the equipment and fittings adjacent to the area. - ON COMPOSITE PARTS, CONTROL CABLES, PULLEYS,TEFLON BEARINGS.
- ON LUBRICATED SURFACES.
- IN DRAIN VALVES OR OTHER ORIFICES.
(2) If there is a TPS layer, do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
NOTE: Airbus recommends that you always apply a new layer of TPS. This is to make sure that the TPS layer continues to give satisfactory corrosion protection. Make sure that the TPS layer is in the correct condition after the check. If the TPS is in the correct condition, apply a new layer as a spray on the remaining layer.
(3) Replace the damaged TPS layer with a new layer on the inspection area, as recommended in the MPD (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001). (4) If you used solvents, high pressure water, steam and/or cleaning agents to clean the TPS layer:
(a) Apply a full new layer of TPS on the inspection area, as recommended in the MPD (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(b) If there is no TPS layer, apply a new layer of TPS on the inspection area, as recommended in the MPD (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(5) Remove the masking paper or the masking tape.

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(3) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
Subtask 53-31-00-410-056-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panels 147AB, 147BB, 147EB, 147FB, 148DB, 148FB, 191GB, 191HB, 191JB, 191KB, 192KB, 195AB and 196AB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-11-400-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-002).
(3) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panels 147AB, 147BB, 147EB, 147FB, 148DB, 148FB, 191BB, 191GB, 191HB, 191JB, 191KB, 192KB, 195AB and 196AB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-11-400-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-002).
(3) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

Keelbeam Box
