A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at forward cargo-compartment door 825.
   (2) Make sure that forward cargo-compartment door 825 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (3) Make sure that CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU is set to ON.
   (4) In the forward cargo compartment, make sure that the applicable floor panel is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-000-001).

C. Preparation for the Installation
   (1) Remove the sealant from the contact surfaces of the retainer and the structure with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
   (2) Clean the contact surfaces of the retaining valve and the structure with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-29-41-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Drain Valve
   (1) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) on the contact surfaces of the retainer (3) and of the structure.
   (2) Put the retainer (3) in position.
   (3) Apply Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) on the shank of the screws (4).
   (4) Install the screws (4), the washers (2) and the nuts (1).
   (5) Tighten the nuts (1).
   (6) Remove the unwanted sealant with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , if necessary.
   (7) Apply a continuous bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) on the edge of the structure and the retainer (3).
   (8) Apply a bead of Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) on the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) at the edge of the structure and the retainer (3).
   (9) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) on the contact surface of the drain valve (5) and the structure.
   (10) Install the drain valve (5).
Subtask 53-29-41-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Drain Valve
   (1) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) on the contact surfaces of the retainer (2) and of the structure.
   (2) Put the retainer (2) in position.
   (3) Apply Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) on the shank of the screws (3).
   (4) Install the screws (3) and the nuts (1).
   (5) Tighten the nuts (1).
   (6) Remove the unwanted sealant with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , if necessary.
   (7) Apply a continuous bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) on the edge of the structure and the retainer (2).
   (8) Apply a bead of Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) on the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) at the edge of the structure and the retainer (2).
   (9) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) on the contact surface of the drain valve (4) and the structure.
   (10) Install the drain valve (4).

A. Installation of Components
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the floor panel (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-400-001).

B. Close Access
   (1) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to OFF.
   (2) Close forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).

C. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
