3. Job Set-up
Subtask 53-21-00-010-162-A
A. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at zone 131 (132).
   (2) Open forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (3) Remove the applicable cargo floor panels between FR24A and FR34 (on the left side) and FR30 and FR34 (on the right side) (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00) and (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-000-001).
   (4) Remove the applicable partition panels at FR24A (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-11-000-001).
   (5) If applicable, remove the necessary partition panels at FR34 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-001).
   (6) Remove the applicable insulation blankets between FR24A and FR34 (on the left side) and FR30 and FR34 (on the right side) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).

B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
   (1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
   (2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary for the Nondestructive Testing Manual (NTM) task.
   (4) Remove the fasteners to inspect the holes SRM 514200.
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-21-00-250-084-A
A. Inspection
   (1) Do a special detailed inspection (ROTO) of the frame at the cargo floor beam junction NTM 532204.
Do this inspection for damage or discontinuities between:
  • FR24A and FR34 (on the left side)
  • FR30 and FR34 (on the right side).
   (2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
     (a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
     (b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage types, classification and corrective action.

B. Installation of the Fasteners
   (1) Refer to the installation drawing in the SRM identification section for the new fastener references.
   (2) Install the fasteners of the inspected holes SRM 514200.
Subtask 53-21-00-910-071-A
C. Sealant or Paint Application
   (1) If the NTM procedure asked to remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area, apply sealant SRM 512400 or paint SRM 512300 on the inspection area.
5. Close-up
Subtask 53-21-00-420-090-A
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the removed insulation blankets between FR24A and FR34 (on the left side) and FR30 and FR34 (on the right side) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
   (3) If removed, install the applicable partition panels at FR34 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-001).
   (4) Install the removed partition panels at FR24A (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-11-400-001).
   (5) Install the removed cargo floor panels between FR24A and FR34 (on the left side) and FR30 and FR34 (on the right side) (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00) and (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-400-001).
   (6) Close forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (7) Remove the access platform(s).
