A. Get Access
(1) Remove the necessary Overhead Stowage Compartments (OHSC) at FR35 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 25-24-41-000-001).
(2) Remove the necessary ceiling panels at FR35 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001).
(3) If necessary, remove the electrical harness ESPM 203311.
(4) Remove the necessary insulation blankets at FR35 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
(5) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 6M (20 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at zones 230 and 240.
Subtask 53-21-00-020-063-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the necessary Overhead Stowage Compartments (OHSC) at FR35 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 25-24-41-000-001).
(2) Remove the necessary ceiling panels at FR35 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001).
(3) If necessary, remove the electrical harness ESPM 203311.
(4) Remove the necessary insulation blankets at FR35 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
(5) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 6M (20 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at zones 230 and 240.
B. Removal of the Fitting
(2) Remove the nuts (5).
(3) Remove the bolts (1) and (4).
(4) Remove the nuts (3) and (2).
(5) Remove the bolt (7) and the washer (6).
(6) Remove the bolt (10) and the washer (9).
(7) Remove the fitting (8) from stringer 7LH.
Subtask 53-21-00-020-060-A CAUTION:
WHEN YOU REMOVE THE SCREWS, MAKE SURE THAT YOU RECORD THE CORRECT POSITION OF EACH OF THEM. THE SCREWS HAVE DIFFERENT LENGTHS.
(1) Hold the fitting (8) that is installed on stringer 7LH. (2) Remove the nuts (5).
(3) Remove the bolts (1) and (4).
(4) Remove the nuts (3) and (2).
(5) Remove the bolt (7) and the washer (6).
(6) Remove the bolt (10) and the washer (9).
(7) Remove the fitting (8) from stringer 7LH.
C. Removal of the Component
(1) Remove the bolts from the holes that you must examine. Refer to SRM 514200.

D. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make the surface of the inspection area smooth with the CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 280), if necessary.
(2) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(3) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer. Refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(4) If it is not sufficiently clean, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(5) Do a visual check of the inspection area for damage or discontinuities.
(6) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
(c) Paint layer damage:
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512300) for general data for paint layers.
4. Procedure(1) Make the surface of the inspection area smooth with the CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 280), if necessary.
(2) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(3) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer. Refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(4) If it is not sufficiently clean, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(5) Do a visual check of the inspection area for damage or discontinuities.
(6) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion:

(1) Do a special detailed inspection (ROTO) of the external side of the circumferential joint at FR35. This inspection is applicable between stringer 4 and stringer 7 (left and right sides). Refer to NTM 532186.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
(c) Paint layer damage:
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512300) for general data for paint layers.
Subtask 53-21-00-916-097-A (1) Do a special detailed inspection (ROTO) of the external side of the circumferential joint at FR35. This inspection is applicable between stringer 4 and stringer 7 (left and right sides). Refer to NTM 532186.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
(c) Paint layer damage:
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512300) for general data for paint layers.
CAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY TEMPORARY PROTECTION SYSTEM (TPS) TYPE 3 ON THE MOVABLE COMPONENTS. USE ONLY TPS TYPE 1 GRADE 2. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, THE MECHANISMS WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY.
B. Check and Application of the TPS LayerNOTE: There is no special requirement about the TPS layer application in this area. The operator can apply TPS or let the surface stay without protection.
(1) If you removed the TPS at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area" paragraph, and you make the decision to apply a TPS layer, ( (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001)).(2) If you did not remove the TPS at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area" paragraph, do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer ( (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001)) and make the decision to apply a new TPS layer or not.
(3) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of TPS ( (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001)).

A. Installation of the Component
(1) Install the bolts in the examined holes. Refer to SRM 514200.
(2) Refer to the installation drawing in the SRM identification section for the new bolts references.

B. Repair of the Surface Protection
(1) Repair the paint layer(s) in the inspection areas, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-003) or (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-001).
Subtask 53-21-00-420-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Repair the paint layer(s) in the inspection areas, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-003) or (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-001).
C. Installation of the Fitting
(1) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) on the mating surfaces of the fitting (8).
(3) Install the bolts (1) and (4).
(4) Install the nuts (5) and tighten them.
(5) Install the washer (6) and the bolt (7).
(6) Install the washer (9) and the bolt (10).
(7) Install the nuts (3) and (2) and tighten them.
Subtask 53-21-00-410-155-A (1) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) on the mating surfaces of the fitting (8).
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL EACH OF THE SCREWS IN ITS CORRECT POSITION. THE SCREWS HAVE DIFFERENT LENGTHS. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL EACH OF THE SCREWS IN ITS CORRECT POSITION, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(2) Put and hold the fitting (8) in position on stringer 7LH.(3) Install the bolts (1) and (4).
(4) Install the nuts (5) and tighten them.
(5) Install the washer (6) and the bolt (7).
(6) Install the washer (9) and the bolt (10).
(7) Install the nuts (3) and (2) and tighten them.
D. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the insulation blankets at FR35 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(3) Install the ceiling panels at FR35 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-400-001).
(4) If you removed the electrical harness, install it ESPM 203311.
(5) Install the OHSC at FR35 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-24-41-400-001).
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the insulation blankets at FR35 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(3) Install the ceiling panels at FR35 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-400-001).
(4) If you removed the electrical harness, install it ESPM 203311.
(5) Install the OHSC at FR35 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-24-41-400-001).
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
