Subtask 53-21-00-010-114-A
A. Get Access
   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position in zone 132.
   (2) Open the forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (3) Remove the necessary sidewall panels between FR24 and FR34 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003).
   (4) Remove the necessary forward cargo-compartment floor-panels between FR24 and FR34 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-000-001).
   (5) Remove the necessary insulation blankets between FR24 and FR34 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).

B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
   (1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
   (2) If it is not sufficiently clean, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) Do a visual check of the inspection area for damage or discontinuities.
   (4) Make sure that there is no:
     (a) Corrosion damage:
  • If you find corrosion damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
     (b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
  • If you find this type of damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage classification and corrective action.
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-21-00-250-056-A
A. Inspection
   (1) Do a special detailed inspection (HFEC) of the holes at FR24 to FR34 in the cargo floor area. This inspection is applicable between stringer 33 and stringer 39 (left side only). Refer to Non-destructive Testing Manual NTM 532209.
   (2) Make a report of the damage after the NDT inspection:
     (a) Corrosion damage:
  • If you find corrosion damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
     (b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
  • If you find this type of damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage classification and corrective action.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the insulation blankets between FR24 and FR34 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
   (3) Install the forward cargo-compartment floor-panels between FR24 and FR34 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-400-001).
   (4) Install the sidewall panels between FR24 and FR34 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-003).
   (5) Close the forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (6) Remove the access platform(s).
