Subtask 53-21-00-010-123-A
A. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position in zone 132.
(2) Open the forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Remove the necessary sidewall panels at FR34 to get access to the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003).
(4) Remove the air-conditioning distribution ducts, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 21-20-00-010-001).
(5) Remove the necessary insulation blankets at FR35 to get access to the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
(6) Remove the fairing panels 191BT and 192BT (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-11-000-001).
Subtask 53-21-00-020-054-A (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position in zone 132.
(2) Open the forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Remove the necessary sidewall panels at FR34 to get access to the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003).
(4) Remove the air-conditioning distribution ducts, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 21-20-00-010-001).
(5) Remove the necessary insulation blankets at FR35 to get access to the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
(6) Remove the fairing panels 191BT and 192BT (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-11-000-001).
B. Removal of the Components
(1) Remove the bolts from the holes to be inspected. Refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 514200.
Subtask 53-21-00-110-126-A (1) Remove the bolts from the holes to be inspected. Refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 514200.
C. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary for the Non-destructive Testing Manual (NTM) task.
(2) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(3) If it is not sufficiently clean, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(4) Do a visual check of the inspection area for damage or discontinuities.
(5) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find corrosion damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
- If you find this type of damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage classification and corrective action.
4. Procedure(1) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary for the Non-destructive Testing Manual (NTM) task.
(2) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(3) If it is not sufficiently clean, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(4) Do a visual check of the inspection area for damage or discontinuities.

Subtask 53-21-00-220-092-A
A. Inspection
(1) Do a special detailed inspection (ROTO) of the internal side of the fuselage skin at 100 mm (3.9370 in.) forward of FR35. Do this inspection at level of STGR30 on the left and right sides. Refer to Non-destructive Testing Manual NTM 532166.
(2) Make a report after the NDT inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find corrosion damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
- If you find this type of damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage classification and corrective action.
5. Close-up(1) Do a special detailed inspection (ROTO) of the internal side of the fuselage skin at 100 mm (3.9370 in.) forward of FR35. Do this inspection at level of STGR30 on the left and right sides. Refer to Non-destructive Testing Manual NTM 532166.
(2) Make a report after the NDT inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find corrosion damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
- If you find this type of damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage classification and corrective action.
Subtask 53-21-00-420-054-A
A. Installation of the Components
(1) Install the bolts of the inspected holes. Refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 514200.
(2) Refer to the installation drawing in the SRM identification section for the new fastener references.
(3) Apply new corrosion preventive compound as necessary, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 512312.
Subtask 53-21-00-910-050-A (1) Install the bolts of the inspected holes. Refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 514200.
(2) Refer to the installation drawing in the SRM identification section for the new fastener references.
(3) Apply new corrosion preventive compound as necessary, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 512312.
B. Sealant or Paint Application
(1) Apply sealant ( SRM 512400) or paint ( SRM 512300) on the inspection area, if removed.
Subtask 53-21-00-410-117-A (1) Apply sealant ( SRM 512400) or paint ( SRM 512300) on the inspection area, if removed.
C. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the fairing panels 191BT and 192BT (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-11-400-001).
(3) Install the insulation blankets at FR35 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(4) Install the air-conditioning distribution ducts, if removed (Ref. AMM TASK 21-20-00-410-001).
(5) Install the sidewall panels at FR34 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-003).
(6) Close the forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(7) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the fairing panels 191BT and 192BT (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-11-400-001).
(3) Install the insulation blankets at FR35 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(4) Install the air-conditioning distribution ducts, if removed (Ref. AMM TASK 21-20-00-410-001).
(5) Install the sidewall panels at FR34 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-003).
(6) Close the forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(7) Remove the access platform(s).
