Fuselage Internal Structure between FR24 and FR35.8 from STGR38 to bottom Centerline, Left and Right Sides ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY TEMPORARY PROTECTION ON THE OXYGEN SYSTEMS.
MAKE SURE THAT THE TEMPORARY PROTECTION DOES NOT GET:
- ON COMPOSITE PARTS, CONTROL CABLES, PULLEYS,TEFLON BEARINGS.
- ON LUBRICATED SURFACES.
- IN DRAIN VALVES OR OTHER ORIFICES.
CAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY TEMPORARY PROTECTION SYSTEM (TPS) TYPE 3 ON THE MOVABLE COMPONENTS. USE ONLY TPS TYPE 1 GRADE 2. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, THE MECHANISMS WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY.
(1) If there is a TPS layer, do a check of the condition of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001). NOTE: Airbus recommends that you always apply a new layer of TPS. This is to make sure that the TPS layer continues to give satisfactory corrosion protection. If, after the check, you think that the TPS layer is in the correct condition, you can apply a new layer as a spray on the existing layer.
(2) Apply PAPER - MASKING or Adhesive Film Tape-Masking - - (Material No.05RDA1) on the equipment and fittings adjacent to the area. (3) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing & Heavy Duty Hard Film - (Material No.12ADB1) on the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
