A. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position in zone 132.
(2) Open the forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
Subtask 53-21-00-010-053-B (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position in zone 132.
(2) Open the forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
B. Removal of the Components
(1) Remove the Additional Center Tank No.4 (ACT4), if installed (Ref. AMM D/O 28-11-27-00).
(2) Remove the necessary lower sidewall panels between FR29 and FR34 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003).
(3) Remove the necessary forward cargo-compartment floor panels between FR29 and FR34 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-000-001).
(4) Remove the necessary insulation blankets between FR29 and FR34 to get access to to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
Subtask 53-21-00-110-063-A (1) Remove the Additional Center Tank No.4 (ACT4), if installed (Ref. AMM D/O 28-11-27-00).
(2) Remove the necessary lower sidewall panels between FR29 and FR34 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003).
(3) Remove the necessary forward cargo-compartment floor panels between FR29 and FR34 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-000-001).
(4) Remove the necessary insulation blankets between FR29 and FR34 to get access to to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
C. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If it is not sufficiently clean, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If it is not sufficiently clean, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
Subtask 53-21-00-220-065-A
A. Inspection
(1) Do a detailed inspection of the attachment area of FR 29 to FR 34, cargo floor beams, LH/RH.
(2) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find corrosion damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
- If you find this type of damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage classification and corrective action.
5. Close-up(1) Do a detailed inspection of the attachment area of FR 29 to FR 34, cargo floor beams, LH/RH.
(2) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find corrosion damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
- If you find this type of damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage classification and corrective action.
Subtask 53-21-00-410-053-B
A. Installation of the Components
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the insulation blankets between FR29 and FR34 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(3) Install the forward cargo-compartment floor panels between FR29 and FR34 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-400-001).
(4) Install the lower sidewall panels between FR29 and FR34 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-003).
(5) Install the Additional Center Tank No.4 (ACT4), if removed (Ref. AMM D/O 28-11-27-40).
Subtask 53-21-00-942-063-A (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the insulation blankets between FR29 and FR34 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(3) Install the forward cargo-compartment floor panels between FR29 and FR34 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-14-400-001).
(4) Install the lower sidewall panels between FR29 and FR34 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-003).
(5) Install the Additional Center Tank No.4 (ACT4), if removed (Ref. AMM D/O 28-11-27-40).
B. Close Access
(1) Close the forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Close the forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
