3. Job Set-up
Subtask 53-16-11-010-054-A

A. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the applicable NLG aft door-assembly is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-13-010-001).
(2) Make sure that applicable access door 812(824) is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at zone 123(124).

CAUTION: BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON OR NEAR THE AIR-CONDITIONING DUCTS. THE DUCTS ARE MADE OF THIN MATERIAL AND YOU CAN EASILY BREAK THEM.

(4) If necessary, make sure that the applicable air-conditioning distribution duct(s) is(are) removed (Ref. AMM TASK 21-20-00-010-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 53-16-11-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Installation of the Hinge Assembly of the NLG Aft Door-Assembly
(1) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) on the hinge assembly (5).
(2) Install the hinge assembly (5), the washer (1) and the nut (2) on the structure (4).
(3) TORQUE the nut (2) to between 4.4 and 3.5 m.daN (32.45 and 25.81 lbf.ft )

(4) Safety the nut (2) with the new AIPC 53-16-01-12-020 COTTER PIN (3).

Subtask 53-16-11-420-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Installation of the Hinge Assembly of the NLG Aft Door-Assembly
(1) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) on the hinge assembly (6).
(2) Install the washer (5), the hinge assembly (6), the washer (1) and the nut (2) on the structure (4).
(3) TORQUE the nut (2) to between 4.4 and 3.5 m.daN (32.45 and 25.81 lbf.ft )

(4) Safety the nut (2) with the new AIPC 53-16-01-12-020 COTTER PIN (3).

5. Close-up

A. Close Access

CAUTION: BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON OR NEAR THE AIR-CONDITIONING DUCTS. THE DUCTS ARE MADE OF THIN MATERIAL AND YOU CAN EASILY BREAK THEM.

(1) If removed, install the applicable air-conditioning distribution duct(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 21-20-00-410-001).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close applicable access door 812(824) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
(4) Install the removed NLG aft door-assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-13-410-001).
