3. Job Set-up

A. Get Access
(1) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).
(2) Open applicable passenger/crew door 831 ( 841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 53-15-41-960-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Replacement of the Seal Aeronoise Inhibitor
(1) Remove the seal aeronoise inhibitor (1).
(2) Remove the remaining sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC and the BRUSH - BRISTLED, STIFF.
(3) Install the seal aeronoise inhibitor (1):
(a) Clean the door frame area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(b) Measure dimensions J1 and J2 and make marks on the door frame.
(c) Make sure that:

Dimension J1 is between 50 mm (1.97 in.) and 60 mm (2.36 in.).
Dimension J2 is between 55 mm (2.17 in.) and 65 mm (2.56 in.).

(d) Use the marks to help you put the seal aeronoise inhibitor (1) in its correct position.
(e) Cut the seal aeronoise inhibitor (1) to a length of 1.95 m (6.40 ft.).
(f) Rub the seal aeronoise inhibitor (1) with ABRASIVE PAPER -120 GRIT
(g) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) (3) on the door frame area.
(h) Put the seal aeronoise inhibitor (1) in the correct position on the door frame.
(i) Apply a small bead of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Density Multi Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06ACB1) (2) on the top of the seal aeronoise inhibitor (1).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close applicable passenger/crew door 831 ( 841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(3) Obey the special precautions after the work on the passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-002).
