Subtask 53-15-11-869-057-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position to tell persons not to operate the radar system on the center pedestal.
   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at zone 110.
   (3) Make sure that the radome is open (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-11-010-001).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS RELATED TO THE WEATHER RADAR ARE OPENED, SAFETIED AND TAGGED.
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

C. Removal of the Sealant
   (1) Use the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC to remove the sealants from the retainer (1) and the structure.
   (2) Clean the retainer (1) and the structure with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-15-11-420-061-A
A. Installation of the Seal at FR1
   (1) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) (4) on the retainer (1) and the mating surface of the structure.
   (2) Let the sealant cure.
   (3) Clean the mating surface with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (4) Cut the seal (2) as one continuous piece to the necessary length.
   (5) Apply Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) (5) on the mating surface of the structure.
   (6) Put the new AIPC 53-15-11-01-160 SEAL (2) in the correct position on the structure.
   (7) Make sure that:
  • Dimension A is 6 -2 mm or +2 mm (0.24 -0.08 in. or +0.08 in.).
  • Dimension B is 22 -3 mm or +3 mm (0.87 -0.12 in. or +0.12 in.).
  • Dimension D is 53 -3 mm or +3 mm (2.09 -0.12 in. or +0.12 in.).
   (8) Install the retainer (1) on the structure.
   (9) Install the nuts (3).
   (10) Tighten the nuts (3).
   (11) Make the shims (7) from the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.
06AAC1) .
   (12) Make sure that dimension C is 15 mm (0.59 in.).
   (13) Install the shims (7) at the ends of the seal (2).
   (14) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) (6) along the length of the seal (2).
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the radome (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-11-400-001).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 53-15-11-865-074-A
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
