A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the radome is open (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-11-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the access platform is in position in the zone 110.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) which tells persons not to operate the radar system is(are) in position on the center pedestal.
Subtask 53-15-11-865-067-A (1) Make sure that the radome is open (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-11-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the access platform is in position in the zone 110.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) which tells persons not to operate the radar system is(are) in position on the center pedestal.

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the mating surfaces of the arrestor pick-up fitting and the frame edge of the radome with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
Subtask 53-15-11-420-059-A (1) Clean the mating surfaces of the arrestor pick-up fitting and the frame edge of the radome with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
B. Installation of the Arrestor Pick-Up Fitting
(2) Do the scrapping on the mating surfaces of the radome.
(3) Put the arrestor pick-up fitting (62) in position.
(4) Install the bolts (61) and the nuts (63).
(5) TORQUE the nuts (63) to between 0.616 and 0.504 m.daN (54.51 and 44.60 lbf.in )

(6) Close the radome (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-11-410-001).
Subtask 53-15-11-720-053-A NOTE: The installation procedure is the same for each fitting.
(1) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) on the mating surfaces of the arrestor pick-up fitting and the frame edge of the radome. (2) Do the scrapping on the mating surfaces of the radome.
(3) Put the arrestor pick-up fitting (62) in position.
(4) Install the bolts (61) and the nuts (63).
(5) TORQUE the nuts (63) to between 0.616 and 0.504 m.daN (54.51 and 44.60 lbf.in )
. (6) Close the radome (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-11-410-001).
C. Check of the Ohmic Resistance
(1) Make sure that the radome is closed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-11-410-001).
(2) Measure the ohmic resistance between each lightning arrestor strip of the radome and the adjacent primary structure of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-869-002).
(3) Make sure that the ohmic resistance is correct.
5. Close-up(1) Make sure that the radome is closed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-11-410-001).
(2) Measure the ohmic resistance between each lightning arrestor strip of the radome and the adjacent primary structure of the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-869-002).
(3) Make sure that the ohmic resistance is correct.

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

B. Close Access
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
