A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the radome is open (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-11-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the access platform is in position at zone 110.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position on the center pedestal to tell persons not to operate the radar system.

(2) Make sure that the access platform is in position at zone 110.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position on the center pedestal to tell persons not to operate the radar system.

A. Installation of the Locking Handle
(1) Put the locking handle (54) in position.
(2) Install the bolt (56) and the washer (55).
(3) Install the washer (53) and the nut (52).
(4) Tighten the nut (52).
(5) Install the new AIPC 53-15-11-03-220 COTTER PIN (51).

(2) Install the bolt (56) and the washer (55).
(3) Install the washer (53) and the nut (52).
(4) Tighten the nut (52).
(5) Install the new AIPC 53-15-11-03-220 COTTER PIN (51).
B. Adjustment of the Locking Handle
(1) Fully close the radome (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-11-410-001).
(2) Measure the force of the locking handle (54):
(a) Put the GAGE - SPRING, with a capacity of 20 daN (44.9618 lbf) to 10 mm (0.3937 in.), at the end of the locking handle (54).
(b) Make sure that the tension of the locking handle (54) is between 8 daN (17.9847 lbf) and 12 daN (26.9771 lbf).
(3) If necessary, adjust the tension of the locking handle (54) to between 8 daN (17.9847 lbf) and 12 daN (26.9771 lbf) as follows:
(a) Open the radome (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-11-010-001).
(b) Turn the nut (57):
Subtask 53-15-11-820-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Fully close the radome (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-11-410-001).
(2) Measure the force of the locking handle (54):
(a) Put the GAGE - SPRING, with a capacity of 20 daN (44.9618 lbf) to 10 mm (0.3937 in.), at the end of the locking handle (54).
(b) Make sure that the tension of the locking handle (54) is between 8 daN (17.9847 lbf) and 12 daN (26.9771 lbf).
(3) If necessary, adjust the tension of the locking handle (54) to between 8 daN (17.9847 lbf) and 12 daN (26.9771 lbf) as follows:
(a) Open the radome (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-11-010-001).
(b) Turn the nut (57):
- Clockwise to decrease the length of the spring rod (58) and increase the tension of the locking handle (54).
- Counterclockwise to increase the length of the spring rod (58) and decrease the tension of the locking handle (54).
C. Check of the Hook Out-of-Flushness
(1) Make sure that out-of-flushness J1 of the hook between the hinge arm (102) and the radome (101) is 0.5 -1.5 mm or +1.5 mm (0.0197 -0.0591 in. or +0.0591 in.).

C. Check of the Hook Out-of-Flushness and Adjustment
(1) Make sure that out-of-flushness J1 of the hook between the hinge arm (103) and the radome (102) is 0.5 -1.5 mm or +1.5 mm (0.0197 -0.0591 in. or +0.0591 in.).
(2) If out-of-flushness J1 is not in the tolerance, adjust the position of the locking fitting (104) as follows:
(a) Loosen the four screws (101).
(b) Adjust the position of the locking fitting (104) with the serrated plate (105).
(c) Tighten the four screws (101).
5. Close-up(1) Make sure that out-of-flushness J1 of the hook between the hinge arm (103) and the radome (102) is 0.5 -1.5 mm or +1.5 mm (0.0197 -0.0591 in. or +0.0591 in.).
(2) If out-of-flushness J1 is not in the tolerance, adjust the position of the locking fitting (104) as follows:
(a) Loosen the four screws (101).
(b) Adjust the position of the locking fitting (104) with the serrated plate (105).
(c) Tighten the four screws (101).

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

B. Close Access
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(3) Close the radome (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-11-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
