B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position in the zone 110 in front of the radome.
(2) In the cockpit put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the radar system.
(3) Open the radome (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-11-010-001).

C. Protection of the Radome
(1) Put a BAG - PLASTIC on the radome.

D. Installation of the Radome Sling
(1) Install the 98D53103500000 SLING-RADOME (42) on the radome.

Radome Sling

(2) Attach the ends of the sling to the housings of the handles (41) and to the hinge fittings.
(3) Put the CRANE 50KG (110 LB) in position.
(4) Put the 98D53103500000 SLING-RADOME (42) under tension.

4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Component.

Radome

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT DAMAGE THE ANTENNA.

(1) Remove the cotter pin (7) and discard it.
(2) Remove the nut (6) and the washer (5).
(3) Remove the bolt (3).
(4) Remove the rods (4) from the support (14).
(5) Remove the cotter pin (9) and discard it.
(6) Remove the nut (8).
(7) Remove the bolt (2).
(8) Remove the rods (4) from the support (1).
