SPECIAL DETAILED INSPECTION (ROTO) OF RAIN GUTTER AREA OVER FORWARD PAX DOOR, LH/RH
NOTE: This task is an alternative to task 531142-01.
NOTE: The effectivity of this task is "ALL". To know if this task is applicable to your aircraft, refer to the MPD task applicability. The information on weight variant groups is given in the MPD and SRM introductions.

Subtask 53-11-00-010-134-A
A. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position in front of passenger/crew door 831 ( 841).
(2) Open passenger/crew door 831 ( 841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Remove the applicable lining panels from the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-005).
Subtask 53-11-00-110-152-A (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position in front of passenger/crew door 831 ( 841).
(2) Open passenger/crew door 831 ( 841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Remove the applicable lining panels from the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-005).
NOTE: Refer to AMM chapter 06 for the lining panels details (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
(4) Remove the insulation (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001). B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(4) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary to do the Nondestructive Testing Manual (NTM) procedure.
(5) Remove the fasteners to inspect the holes (Refer to SRM 514200).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(4) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary to do the Nondestructive Testing Manual (NTM) procedure.
(5) Remove the fasteners to inspect the holes (Refer to SRM 514200).
Subtask 53-11-00-250-069-A
A. Inspection
(1) Do a special detailed inspection (ROTO) of the rain gutter area above the forward passenger doors, on the left and right sides, for damage or discontinuities. Refer to NTM 531142.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
Subtask 53-11-00-420-082-A (1) Do a special detailed inspection (ROTO) of the rain gutter area above the forward passenger doors, on the left and right sides, for damage or discontinuities. Refer to NTM 531142.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.

If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
B. Installation of the Fasteners
(1) Refer to the installation drawing in the SRM identification section for the new fastener references.
(2) Install the fasteners in the inspected holes ( SRM 514200).

C. Sealant or Paint Application
(1) If the NTM procedure told to remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area, apply sealant (Refer to SRM 512400) or paint (Refer to SRM 512300) on the inspection area.

D. Check and Application of the TPS Layer
(2) If the TPS was not removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area" paragraph, do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(3) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
5. Close-upCAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY TEMPORARY PROTECTION SYSTEM (TPS) TYPE 3 ON THE MOVABLE COMPONENTS. USE ONLY TPS TYPE 1 GRADE 2. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, THE MECHANISMS WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY.
(1) If the TPS was removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area" paragraph, apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001). (2) If the TPS was not removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area" paragraph, do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(3) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
NOTE: If, after the check of the condition and integrity, the TPS layer is in the correct condition, Airbus recommends that you spray a new TPS layer on the existing layer. This is to make sure that the TPS layer continues to give satisfactory corrosion protection.
Subtask 53-11-00-410-133-A
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the insulation (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(3) Install the removed lining panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-400-006) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-400-007).
(5) Close passenger/crew door 831 ( 841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the insulation (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(3) Install the removed lining panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-400-006) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-400-007).
NOTE: Refer to AMM chapter 06 for the lining panels details (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.(5) Close passenger/crew door 831 ( 841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
