3. Job Set-up
Subtask 53-11-00-010-129-A

A. Get Access
(1) Open the cockpit sliding window ( (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-010-001)).

B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If the inspection area is not sufficiently clean, clean it with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) If sealant or paint is applied on the inspection area:
- Remove the sealant with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
- Remove the paint.

4. Procedure
Subtask 53-11-00-250-068-A

A. Inspection
(1) Do a special detailed inspection of the windshield side post at FR4, on the left lower corner of the windshield, for damage or discontinuities NTM 531134.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective action.

B. Sealant or Paint Application
(1) If the NTM procedure told to remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area, apply sealant (Refer to SRM 512400) or paint (Refer to SRM 512300) on the inspection area.

5. Close-up
Subtask 53-11-00-410-128-A

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the cockpit sliding window ( (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-410-001)).
