3. Job Set-up
Subtask 53-11-00-010-128-A
A. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at passenger/crew door 831( 841).
   (2) Open passenger/crew door 831( 841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
   (3) Remove the applicable door-frame lining panels at FR16 and FR20 to get access to the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-005) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-002).
   (4) Remove the applicable insulation blankets at FR16 and FR20 to get access to the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).

B. Removal of the Components
   (1) Remove the nuts and the bolts from the door stop fittings at positions 2 to 6 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-11-31-000-002).
     (a) Do not remove the door stop fittings.

C. Preparation of the Inspection Area
   (1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
   (2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
   (4) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary for the Nondestructive Testing Manual (NTM) task.
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-11-00-250-067-A
A. Inspection
   (1) Do a special detailed inspection (ROTO) of the door stop-fittings holes of the forward passenger/crew-door cutout for damage or discontinuities. Do this inspection at FR16 and FR20, at positions 2 to 6, on the left and right sides NTM 531154.
   (2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
     (a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
     (b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for the damage types, classification and corrective action.

B. Installation of the Components
   (1) Install the bolts and the nuts on the door stop fittings (Ref. AMM TASK 52-11-31-400-002).
Subtask 53-11-00-390-060-A
C. Sealant or Paint Application
   (1) If the NTM procedure asked to remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area, apply sealant SRM 512400 or paint SRM 512300 on the inspection area.

D. Check and Application of the TPS Layer
   (1) If the TPS was removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area", apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
   (2) If the TPS was not removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area", do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
   (3) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the insulation blankets at FR16 and FR20 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
   (3) Install the door frame-lining panels at FR16 and FR20 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-400-006) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-400-007).
   (4) Close passenger/crew door 831( 841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
   (5) Remove the access platform(s).
