A. Get Access
   (1) Open the Nose Landing Gear (NLG) door 713 ( 714) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
   (2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position in zone 123 (124).

B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
   (1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
   (2) If it is not sufficiently clean, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-11-00-220-100-A
A. Inspection
   (1) Do a detailed inspection of the NLG bay panel at the longitudinal junction for damage or discontinuities. This inspection includes the area between the upper and lateral panels (radius). Do this inspection on the left and right sides.
   (2) Make sure that there is no:
     (a) Corrosion damage:
  • If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
     (b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
  • If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for damage types, classification and corrective action.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Close the Nose Landing Gear (NLG) door 713 (714) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001).
