A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Get Access
   (1) Remove the applicable sidewall panels at FR8 to get access to the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-13-41-000-002).

C. Removal of the Components
   (1) If the air-outlet distribution valve is installed at FR8, remove it (Ref. AMM TASK 21-21-46-000-803).
   (2) Remove the applicable insulation blankets at FR8 to get access to the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).

D. Preparation of the Inspection Area
   (1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
   (2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) Make sure that there is no TPS layer and if there is a TPS layer, remove it (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-11-00-250-063-A
A. Inspection
   (1) Do a special detailed inspection of the structure of the splices at FR8, on the left and right sides, for damage or discontinuities NTM 531126.
   (2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
     (a) Corrosion:
  • If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
     (b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
  • If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage types, classification and corrective action.

A. Installation of the Components
   (1) Install the applicable insulation blankets at FR8 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
   (2) If you removed the air-outlet distribution valve, install it at FR8 (Ref. AMM TASK 21-21-46-400-803).

B. Close Access
   (1) Install the applicable sidewall panels at FR8 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-13-41-400-002).
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
