GENERAL VISUAL INSPECTION OF FUSELAGE INTERNAL STRUCTURE AND FLOOR STRUCTURE, INCLUDING NLG BAY AFT FACE, BETWEEN FR 21 AND FR 24, BELOW CABIN FLOOR PANELS
NOTE: The effectivity of this task is "ALL". To know if this task is applicable to your aircraft, refer to the MPD task applicability.
NOTE: The application of the TPS layer is permitted only on the fuselage internal structure between FR21 and FR24, from stringer 32 to the bottom centerline, left and right sides.

Subtask 53-11-00-010-098-A
A. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at zone 120.
   (2) Open lateral avionics-compartment door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
   (3) Remove floor panels 127BF, 127CF, 127DF and 128CF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-12-13-000-001).
   (4) Remove the insulation blankets between FR21 and FR24 to get access to the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).

B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
   (1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
   (2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-11-00-210-087-A
A. Inspection
   (1) Do a general visual inspection of the fuselage internal structure and the floor structure, below the cabin floor panels, between FR21 and FR24 for damage or discontinuities. This inspection includes the NLG bay aft-face.
   (2) Make sure that there is no:
     (a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
     (b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective action.

B. Check and Application of the TPS Layer
   (1) If the TPS was removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area" paragraph, apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
   (2) If the TPS was not removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area" paragraph, do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
   (3) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the removed insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
   (3) Install floor panels 127BF, 127CF, 127DF and 128CF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-12-13-400-001).
   (4) Close lateral avionics-compartment door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
   (5) Remove the access platform(s).
