(4) Remove the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
(5) Remove the air conditioning ducts, as necessary.
B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If it is not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) If there is a Temporary Protection System (TPS) layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
Subtask 53-11-00-210-086-A
A. Inspection
(1) Do a general visual inspection of the fuselage internal structure and floor structure. This inspection includes the NLG well panels and is applicable between FR1 and FR12, below the cockpit floor panels.
(2) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find corrosion damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 51220001 for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
- If you find other damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 51110001 for damage classification and corrective action.
(3) Make sure that all the installations are attached correctly.
Subtask 53-11-00-916-069-A (1) Do a general visual inspection of the fuselage internal structure and floor structure.
B. Application of the Temporary Protection System
(3) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) on the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(4) If, before the inspection, there was:
(5) Remove the PAPER - MASKING or the Adhesive Film Tape-Masking - - (Material No.05RDA1) .
5. Close-upCAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY TEMPORARY PROTECTION ON THE OXYGEN SYSTEMS.
MAKE SURE THAT THE TEMPORARY PROTECTION DOES NOT GET:
(1) If there is a TPS layer, do a check of the condition of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001). - ON COMPOSITE PARTS, CONTROL CABLES, PULLEYS,TEFLON BEARINGS.
- ON LUBRICATED SURFACES.
- IN DRAIN VALVES OR OTHER ORIFICES.
NOTE: Airbus recommends that you always apply a new layer of TPS. This is to make sure that the TPS layer continues to give satisfactory corrosion protection. If, after the check, you think that the TPS layer is in the correct condition, you can apply a new layer as a spray on the existing layer.
(2) Apply PAPER - MASKING or Adhesive Film Tape-Masking - - (Material No.05RDA1) on the equipment and fittings adjacent to the area.
- Removal of the TPS layer or
- Cleaning of the inspection area with high-pressure water, steam, solvents and/or cleaning agents
(5) Remove the PAPER - MASKING or the Adhesive Film Tape-Masking - - (Material No.05RDA1) .
