A. Get Access
   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE at zone 125 (126).
   (2) Open the lateral avionics-compartment doors 812 ( 824) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
   (3) If installed, remove the airstairs drain panel (Ref. AMM D/O 53-19-41-00).
   (4) Remove the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).

B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
   (1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
   (2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) If there is a Temporary Protection System (TPS) layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-11-00-220-090-A
A. Inspection
   (1) Do a detailed inspection of the fuselage internal structure below the forward passenger/crew doors and the cabin floor level. This inspection is applicable from FR15 to FR21 and between the stringers 28, left and right sides. This inspection is applicable as far as you can see.
   (2) Make sure that there is no:
     (a) Corrosion damage:
  • If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
     (b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
  • If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for the damage types, classification and corrective action.

B. Check and Application of the TPS Layer
   (1) If the TPS was removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area" paragraph, apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
   (2) If the TPS was not removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area" paragraph, do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
   (3) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
NOTE: If, after the check of the condition and integrity, the TPS layer is in the correct condition, Airbus recommends that you spray a new TPS layer on the existing layer. This is to make sure that the TPS layer continues to give satisfactory corrosion protection.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Install the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
   (2) If removed, install the airstairs drain panel (Ref. AMM D/O 53-19-41-40).
   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (4) Close the lateral avionics-compartment doors 812 ( 824) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
   (5) Remove the access platform(s).
