1. Reason for the JobRefer to the MPD task 531133-02
SPECIAL DETAILED INSPECTION (HFEC) OF WINDSHIELD SIDE POST AT FR 4, LOWER ATTACHMENT, INTERNAL SIDE, LH/RH.
NOTE: This task is an alternative to task 531133-01.

Subtask 53-11-00-010-069-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Get Access
(1) Open the sliding window (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-010-001).
(2) Remove the lining panel 211PW ( 212PW). To do this:
(a) Remove the screw (3) and the washer (2).
(b) Loosen the fastener (1).
(c) Remove the lining panel 211PW ( 212PW).
(3) Remove the lining panel 211NW ( 212NW) from the windshield side post at FR4. To do this:
(a) Remove the nut (4) and the screws (5).
(b) Remove the lining panel 211NW ( 212NW) (6).
Subtask 53-11-00-110-070-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Open the sliding window (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-010-001).
(2) Remove the lining panel 211PW ( 212PW). To do this:
(a) Remove the screw (3) and the washer (2).
(b) Loosen the fastener (1).
(c) Remove the lining panel 211PW ( 212PW).
(3) Remove the lining panel 211NW ( 212NW) from the windshield side post at FR4. To do this:
(a) Remove the nut (4) and the screws (5).
(b) Remove the lining panel 211NW ( 212NW) (6).
B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
Lower-Attachment Four Horizontal Stiffeners, Internal Side, Left and Right Sides ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(1) Clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , if necessary.
(2) Make sure that the surface of the inspection area is clean and smooth.
(3) Do a check of the inspection area for damage or discontinuities.
(4) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find corrosion damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
- If you find this type of damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage classification and corrective action.
4. Procedure Lower-Attachment Four Horizontal Stiffeners, Internal Side, Left and Right Sides ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (2) Make sure that the surface of the inspection area is clean and smooth.
(3) Do a check of the inspection area for damage or discontinuities.
(4) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find corrosion damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
- If you find this type of damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage classification and corrective action.
Subtask 53-11-00-250-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Inspection
Lower-Attachment Four Horizontal Stiffeners, Internal Side, Left and Right Sides ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(1) Do a special detailed inspection (HFEC) of the internal side of the lower attachment of the windshield side post. This inspection is applicable at FR4, left and right sides. Refer to Non-destructive Testing Manual NTM 531133.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NDT inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
- If you find this type of damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 or damage classification and corrective action.
5. Close-up Lower-Attachment Four Horizontal Stiffeners, Internal Side, Left and Right Sides ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (2) Make a report of the damage after the NDT inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
- If you find this type of damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 or damage classification and corrective action.
Subtask 53-11-00-410-069-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the lining panel 211NW ( 212NW) on the windshield side post at FR4. To do this:

(a) Put the lining panel 211NW ( 212NW) (6) in position on the windshield side post.
(b) Install the screws (5) and the nut (4) and tighten them.
(3) Install the lining panel 211PW ( 212PW). To do this:

(a) Put the lining panel 211PW ( 212PW) in position.
(b) Tighten the fastener (1).
(c) Install the washer (2) and the screw (3).
(d) Tighten the screw (3).
(4) Close the sliding window (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-410-001).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the lining panel 211NW ( 212NW) on the windshield side post at FR4. To do this:

(3) Install the lining panel 211PW ( 212PW). To do this:

(c) Install the washer (2) and the screw (3).
(d) Tighten the screw (3).
(4) Close the sliding window (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-410-001).
