A. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position in front of the passenger/crew door 831 ( 841).
(2) Open the passenger/crew door 831 ( 841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Remove the partitions between FR20 and FR21, if installed.
To do this, refer to the para. Component Location in the applicable ATA 25 Description/Operation: for the partitions (Ref. AMM D/O 25-26-00-00). In this paragraph, you will find the cross-references of the removal/installation tasks.
(4) Remove the galleys, closets/stowages and lavatories between FR20 and FR21, if installed.
To do this, refer to the para. Component Location in the applicable ATA 25 Description/Operation: for the galleys, closets/stowages (Ref. AMM D/O 25-31-00-00), for the lavatories (Ref. AMM D/O 25-41-00-00). In this paragraph, you will find the cross-references of the removal/installation tasks.
(5) Remove the necessary lining panels at FR20 to get access to the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-005) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-002).
(6) Remove the necessary insulation blankets at FR20 to get access to the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
Subtask 53-11-00-110-075-A (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position in front of the passenger/crew door 831 ( 841).
(2) Open the passenger/crew door 831 ( 841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Remove the partitions between FR20 and FR21, if installed.

B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary for the Non-destructive Testing Manual (NTM) task.
(2) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(3) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(4) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
Subtask 53-11-00-020-063-A (1) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary for the Non-destructive Testing Manual (NTM) task.
(2) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(3) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(4) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
C. Removal of the Fasteners
(1) Remove the threaded pins (HI-LITE) (1) and the nuts (2) from the holes to be inspected. Refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 514200).

Subtask 53-11-00-250-056-A
A. Inspection
(1) Do a special detailed inspection (ROTO) of the door FR20, for damage or discontinuities. This inspection includes the area at the double joggle area in the outer flange of the frame (at the door stops Number 1 and 7). Do this inspection on the left side only. Refer to Non-destructive Testing Manual NTM 531155.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
Subtask 53-11-00-250-073-A (1) Do a special detailed inspection (ROTO) of the door FR20, for damage or discontinuities. This inspection includes the area at the double joggle area in the outer flange of the frame (at the door stops Number 1 and 7). Do this inspection on the left side only. Refer to Non-destructive Testing Manual NTM 531155.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
- If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for damage types, classification and corrective action.
B. Inspection
(1) Do a special detailed inspection (ROTO) of the door FR20, for damage or discontinuities. This inspection includes the area at the double joggle area in the outer flange of the frame (at the door stops Number 1 and 7). Do this inspection on the right side only. Refer to Non-destructive Testing Manual NTM 531155.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
Subtask 53-11-00-420-061-A (1) Do a special detailed inspection (ROTO) of the door FR20, for damage or discontinuities. This inspection includes the area at the double joggle area in the outer flange of the frame (at the door stops Number 1 and 7). Do this inspection on the right side only. Refer to Non-destructive Testing Manual NTM 531155.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
- If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for damage types, classification and corrective action.
C. Installation of the Fasteners
(1) Refer to the installation drawing in the SRM identification section for the new fastener references.
(2) Install the threaded pins (HI-LITE) (1) and the nuts (2) of the inspected holes. Refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 514200).
(3) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) around the threaded pins (HI-LITE) (1) and the nuts (2).
Subtask 53-11-00-910-051-A (1) Refer to the installation drawing in the SRM identification section for the new fastener references.
(2) Install the threaded pins (HI-LITE) (1) and the nuts (2) of the inspected holes. Refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 514200).
(3) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) around the threaded pins (HI-LITE) (1) and the nuts (2).
D. Sealant or Paint Application
(1) If the NTM procedure asked to remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area, apply sealant (refer to SRM 512400) or paint (refer to SRM 512300) on the inspection area.

E. Check and Application of the TPS Layer
(2) If the TPS was not removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area", do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(3) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
5. Close-upCAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY TEMPORARY PROTECTION SYSTEM (TPS) TYPE 3 ON THE MOVABLE COMPONENTS. USE ONLY TPS TYPE 1 GRADE 2. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, THE MECHANISMS WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY.
(1) If the TPS was removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area", apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001). (2) If the TPS was not removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area", do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(3) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
NOTE: If, after the check of the condition and integrity, the TPS layer is in the correct condition. Airbus recommends that you apply a new layer as a spray on the existing layer. This is to make sure that the TPS layer continues to give satisfactory corrosion protection.
Subtask 53-11-00-410-067-A
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the insulation blankets at FR20 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(3) Install the lining panels at FR20 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-400-006) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-400-007).
(4) Install the galleys, closets/stowages and lavatories between FR20 and FR21, if removed.
To do this, refer to the para. Component Location in the applicable ATA 25 Description/Operation: for the galleys, closets/stowages (Ref. AMM D/O 25-31-00-00), for the lavatories (Ref. AMM D/O 25-41-00-00). In this paragraph, you will find the cross-references of the removal/installation tasks.
(5) Install the partitions between FR20 and FR21, if removed.
To do this, refer to the para. Component Location in the applicable ATA 25 Description/Operation: for the partitions (Ref. AMM D/O 25-26-00-00). In this paragraph, you will find the cross-references of the removal/installation tasks.
(6) Close the passenger/crew door 831 ( 841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(7) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the insulation blankets at FR20 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(3) Install the lining panels at FR20 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-400-006) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-400-007).
(4) Install the galleys, closets/stowages and lavatories between FR20 and FR21, if removed.
To do this, refer to the para. Component Location in the applicable ATA 25 Description/Operation: for the galleys, closets/stowages (Ref. AMM D/O 25-31-00-00), for the lavatories (Ref. AMM D/O 25-41-00-00). In this paragraph, you will find the cross-references of the removal/installation tasks.
(5) Install the partitions between FR20 and FR21, if removed.

(6) Close the passenger/crew door 831 ( 841) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(7) Remove the access platform(s).
Double Joggle Area in the Outer Flange of FR20
