A. Removal of the Component
(1) Remove the forward corner of the scuff plates of the forward passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-15-000-001).

B. Cleaning of the Structure
(1) Clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , if necessary.

A. Inspection

Door Frame below the Forward Lower Corner of the Scuff Plates

(1) Do a detailed inspection of the structure of the forward lower corner below the scuff plates, LH/RH.
(2) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find corrosion damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for types, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
- If you find other damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage classification and corrective action.

5. Close-up
Subtask 53-11-00-420-055-A

A. Installation of the Component
(1) Install the forward corner of the scuff plates of the forward passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 53-15-15-400-001).

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
