Linings of the Upper Attachment of the Windshield Center PostSubtask 53-11-00-010-119-A
A. Get Access
(1) Remove the vertical lining panels 211MC 211MW from the windshield center post.
(2) Remove the ceiling panels 211LC 212LC.
(3) Remove the windshields (Ref. AMM TASK 56-11-11-000-001).
Subtask 53-11-00-020-077-A (1) Remove the vertical lining panels 211MC 211MW from the windshield center post.
(2) Remove the ceiling panels 211LC 212LC.
(3) Remove the windshields (Ref. AMM TASK 56-11-11-000-001).
B. Removal of the Components
(1) For inspection of the holes:
(a) Remove the fasteners from the holes to be inspected. Refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 514200.
Subtask 53-11-00-110-138-A (1) For inspection of the holes:
(a) Remove the fasteners from the holes to be inspected. Refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 514200.
C. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary for the Non-destructive Testing Manual (NTM) task.
(2) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory.
(3) If it is not sufficiently clean, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(4) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage:
4. Procedure(1) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary for the Non-destructive Testing Manual (NTM) task.
(2) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory.
(3) If it is not sufficiently clean, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(4) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find corrosion damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
- If you find other damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage classification and corrective action.
Subtask 53-11-00-280-051-A
A. Inspection
(1) Do a special detailed inspection (ROTO) of the two fastener holes on the internal side of the upper attachment area of the windshield center post. Do this inspection on the left and right sides.
Refer to Non-destructive Testing Manual NTM 531131.
(2) Make a report of damage after the NDT inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
5. Close-up(1) Do a special detailed inspection (ROTO) of the two fastener holes on the internal side of the upper attachment area of the windshield center post. Do this inspection on the left and right sides.
Refer to Non-destructive Testing Manual NTM 531131.
(2) Make a report of damage after the NDT inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
- If you find corrosion damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for types, of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
- If you find other damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage classification and corrective action.
Subtask 53-11-00-910-050-A
A. Sealant or Paint Application
(1) Apply sealant ( SRM 512400) or paint ( SRM 512300) on the inspection area, if removed.
Subtask 53-11-00-420-074-A (1) Apply sealant ( SRM 512400) or paint ( SRM 512300) on the inspection area, if removed.
B. Installation of the Components
(1) After inspection of the holes:
(a) Install the fasteners of the inspected holes. Refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 514200.
(b) Refer to the installation drawing in the SRM identification section for the new fastener references.
Subtask 53-11-00-410-119-A (1) After inspection of the holes:
(a) Install the fasteners of the inspected holes. Refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 514200.
(b) Refer to the installation drawing in the SRM identification section for the new fastener references.
C. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the windshields (Ref. AMM TASK 56-11-11-400-001).
(3) Install the ceiling panels 211LC 212LC.
(4) Install the lining panels 211MC 211MW on the windshield center post.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the windshields (Ref. AMM TASK 56-11-11-400-001).
(3) Install the ceiling panels 211LC 212LC.
(4) Install the lining panels 211MC 211MW on the windshield center post.
