NOTE: The following procedure gives the replacement for the LH side. Replacement for the RH side is equivalent.
   (1) Remove the damaged teflon paint:
     (a) Remove the damaged teflon paint from the ramp blister and the T-sections with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
     (b) Remove the bonding primer of the ramp blister and the T-sections with a CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 240).
     (c) Remove all unwanted material using a VACUUM CLEANER.
     (d) Clean the mating surfaces of the ramp blister and the T-sections with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) .
   (2) Replace sealant:
     (a) Fill any gaps between the ramp blister and the T-sections with Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet - (Material No.06ABB1) .
     (b) Cure the sealant (refer to the manufacturer's instructions).
     (c) Sand the surface of the sealant with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 280) and finish with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 400).
  • Make sure that you do not remove the remaining sealant from the gaps between T-sections.
     (d) Remove all the unwanted material using a VACUUM CLEANER.
     (e) Clean the mating surfaces of the ramp blister and the T-sections with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) .
   (3) Paint the central-ramp:
     (a) Apply Surface Pretreatment-Light Alloys Chemical Conversion Yellow - (Material No.10ABC1) .
     (b) Apply Primer Polyurethane Paint_- Corrosion Inhibiting Structure (Material No.04EAC2) or Primer Epoxy Paint-- Corrosion Inhibiting Structure (Material No.04DAB2) to the mating surfaces of the ramp blister and the T-sections.
     (c) Apply Polyurethane Coating-- Abrasion Resistant Structure (Material No.04PAD2) to the surface of the ramp blister and the T-sections.
     (d) Let the paint dry (refer to the manufacturer's instructions).
