WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACES. THE COMPONENTS ARE MADE OF CARBONFIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the aircraft is electrically grounded (Ref. AMM TASK 12-34-24-869-002).
(2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the flight compartment to tell persons not to operate the main landing-gear (MLG) doors in case not properly secured the door levers.
(4) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the flight compartment to tell persons not to operate the hydraulic systems.
(5) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at zone 734 for the left (LH) MLG door and/or zone 744 for the right (RH) MLG door.
(6) Prevent the damage to the anti-ice heat elements (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).

(1) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).

A. Replacement of the Central-Ramp Teflon Paint
(a) Remove the damaged teflon paint from the ramp blister and the T-sections with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(b) Remove the bonding primer of the ramp blister and the T-sections with a CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 240).
(c) Remove all unwanted material using a VACUUM CLEANER.
(d) Clean the mating surfaces of the ramp blister and the T-sections with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) .
(2) Replace sealant:
(a) Fill any gaps between the ramp blister and the T-sections with Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet - (Material No.06ABB1) .
(b) Cure the sealant (refer to the manufacturer's instructions).
(c) Sand the surface of the sealant with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 280) and finish with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 400).
(e) Clean the mating surfaces of the ramp blister and the T-sections with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) .
(3) Paint the central-ramp:
(a) Apply Surface Pretreatment-Light Alloys Chemical Conversion Yellow - (Material No.10ABC1) .
(b) Apply Primer Polyurethane Paint_- Corrosion Inhibiting Structure (Material No.04EAC2) or Primer Epoxy Paint-- Corrosion Inhibiting Structure (Material No.04DAB2) to the mating surfaces of the ramp blister and the T-sections.
(c) Apply Polyurethane Coating-- Abrasion Resistant Structure (Material No.04PAD2) to the surface of the ramp blister and the T-sections.
(d) Let the paint dry (refer to the manufacturer's instructions).
5. Close-upNOTE: The following procedure gives the replacement for the LH side. Replacement for the RH side is equivalent.
(1) Remove the damaged teflon paint: (a) Remove the damaged teflon paint from the ramp blister and the T-sections with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(b) Remove the bonding primer of the ramp blister and the T-sections with a CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 240).
(c) Remove all unwanted material using a VACUUM CLEANER.
(d) Clean the mating surfaces of the ramp blister and the T-sections with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) .
(2) Replace sealant:
(a) Fill any gaps between the ramp blister and the T-sections with Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet - (Material No.06ABB1) .
(b) Cure the sealant (refer to the manufacturer's instructions).
(c) Sand the surface of the sealant with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 280) and finish with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 400).
- Make sure that you do not remove the remaining sealant from the gaps between T-sections.
(e) Clean the mating surfaces of the ramp blister and the T-sections with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) .
(3) Paint the central-ramp:
(a) Apply Surface Pretreatment-Light Alloys Chemical Conversion Yellow - (Material No.10ABC1) .
(b) Apply Primer Polyurethane Paint_- Corrosion Inhibiting Structure (Material No.04EAC2) or Primer Epoxy Paint-- Corrosion Inhibiting Structure (Material No.04DAB2) to the mating surfaces of the ramp blister and the T-sections.
(c) Apply Polyurethane Coating-- Abrasion Resistant Structure (Material No.04PAD2) to the surface of the ramp blister and the T-sections.
(d) Let the paint dry (refer to the manufacturer's instructions).
