Removal of the CABIN PRESSURE Warning-Light Panel from the Aft Passenger/Crew Door


WARNING: DO NOT OPEN THE PASSENGER/CREW DOOR IF THE WIND SPEED IS MORE THAN 65 KNOTS.
WARNING: BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THE DOOR, MAKE SURE THAT:
  • THE EMERGENCY CONTROL HANDLE IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
  • THE PERCUSSION LEVER OF THE DOOR-DAMPER AND EMERGENCY-OPERATION CYLINDER IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, THE DOOR CAN OPEN WITH FORCE OR THE ESCAPE SLIDE CAN DEPLOY SUDDENLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
WARNING: STOP THE OPENING PROCEDURE IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES. IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES, REMAINING PRESSURE CAN CAUSE THE DOOR TO OPEN SUDDENLY AND CAN:
  • KILL OR CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONS
  • CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

A. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at zone 832(842).
   (2) Open aft passenger/crew door 832 or 842 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
   (3) Obey the special precautions before you start the work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).

     (a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons that the two thrust-reverser control levers are not serviceable.

   (1) Remove the applicable door linings (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-46-000-002):
     (a) FOR [17WN1] (WARN LT PNL-CABIN PRESSURE, AFT L DOOR)
     (b) FOR [17WN2] (WARN LT PNL-CABIN PRESSURE, AFT R DOOR)
4. Procedure
Subtask 52-73-22-020-051-A
A. Removal of the CABIN PRESSURE Warning-Light Panel
   (1) Disconnect the electrical connector (7) from the electrical receptacle (6).
   (2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
   (3) Push the tabs (2) of the CABIN PRESSURE warning-light panel (1) and remove the CABIN PRESSURE warning-light panel (1) from the lining panel (5).

B. Removal of the Lamps
   (1) Carefully remove the lens (4) from the CABIN PRESSURE warning-light panel (1).
   (2) Carefully remove the lamps (3) from the CABIN PRESSURE warning-light panel (1). Make sure that you do not touch the lamps (3) with your fingers.
