Removal of the SLIDE ARMED Indicator Light of the Aft Emergency Exits

WARNING: BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THE DOOR, MAKE SURE THAT:

THE EMERGENCY CONTROL HANDLE IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
THE PERCUSSION LEVER OF THE DOOR-DAMPER AND EMERGENCY-OPERATION CYLINDER IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.

IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, THE DOOR CAN OPEN WITH FORCE OR THE ESCAPE SLIDE CAN DEPLOY SUDDENLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

WARNING: STOP THE OPENING PROCEDURE IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES. IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES, REMAINING PRESSURE CAN CAUSE THE DOOR TO OPEN SUDDENLY AND CAN:

KILL OR CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONS
CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at applicable emergency exit 835 or 845.
(2) Open the applicable emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-002).

D. Removal of the Door Lining Panel
(1) Remove the applicable door lining panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-802):
(a) FOR [2WN1] (IND LT-SLIDE ARMED, L EMER EXIT)

Lining panel 835CZ.

(b) FOR [2WN2] (IND LT-SLIDE ARMED, R EMER EXIT)

Lining panel 845CZ.

(2) Remove the insulation.

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-73-21-020-061-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the SLIDE ARMED Indicator Light
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (3) from the electrical connector (4).
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Push the tabs (1) of the SLIDE ARMED indicator light (2).
(4) Remove the SLIDE ARMED indicator light (2) from its support.
