C. Get Access
WARNING: BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THE DOOR, MAKE SURE THAT:
  • THE EMERGENCY CONTROL HANDLE IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
  • THE PERCUSSION LEVER OF THE DOOR-DAMPER AND EMERGENCY-OPERATION CYLINDER IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, THE DOOR CAN OPEN WITH FORCE OR THE ESCAPE SLIDE CAN DEPLOY SUDDENLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
WARNING: STOP THE OPENING PROCEDURE IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES. IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES, REMAINING PRESSURE CAN CAUSE THE DOOR TO OPEN SUDDENLY AND CAN:
  • KILL OR CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONS
  • CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable emergency exit 833 or 834 or 843 or 844.
   (2) Open the applicable emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-002).

D. Removal of the Door Lining Panels
   (1) Remove the door lining panels
     (a) FOR [2WN1] (IND LT-SLIDE ARMED, L EMER EXIT)

     (b) FOR [2WN2] (IND LT-SLIDE ARMED, R EMER EXIT)

     (c) FOR [21WN1] (IND LT-SLIDE ARMED, FWD L EMERGENCY EXIT)

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-73-21-020-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal the SLIDE ARMED Indicator-Light
   (1) Disconnect the electrical connector (3) from the electrical connector (4).
   (2) Push the tabs (1) of the SLIDE ARMED indicator-light (2).
   (3) Remove the SLIDE ARMED indicator-light (2) from its support.
   (4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
