(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the special precautions are obeyed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-003).
(3) Make sure that the access platform is in position.

A. Installation of the Proximity Switch

Proximity Switches (5WN1, 5WN2) of the FWD Emergency Exits ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Install the proximity switch (2) on their support.
(2) Install the washer (3) and the nut (4).
(3) TORQUE the nut (4) to between 3.15 and 2.85 m.daN (23.23 and 21.02 lbf.ft )

(4) Safety the nut (4) and the washer (3) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
(5) Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connector (1).
(6) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the proximity switch (2).
(7) Adjust the proximity switch (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-00-820-009).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(1) Install the insulation blanket.
(2) Install the lining panel:
(a) FOR [5WN1] (PROX SW-HANDLE, L FWD EMER EXIT ESC SLIDE)
833CZ (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-012).
(b) FOR [5WN2] (PROX SW-HANDLE, R FWD EMER EXIT ESC SLIDE)
834CZ (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-013).

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Obey the special precautions after the work on the emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-004).
(3) Close the applicable emergency exit 833 or 834 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
