C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at applicable emergency exits 835 or 845.
(2) Open the applicable emergency exits (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-002).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the emergency exits (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-003).

D. Removal of the Lining Panel
(1) Remove the applicable lining panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-802):
(a) FOR [6WN1] (PROX SW-HANDLE, L AFT EMER EXIT ESC SLIDE)

Lining panel 835CZ.

(b) FOR [6WN2] (PROX SW-HANDLE, R AFT EMER EXIT ESC SLIDE)

Lining panel 845CZ.

(2) Remove the insulation.

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-73-11-020-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Proximity Switch

Proximity Switches (6WN1, 6WN2) - Aft Emergency Exits ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the proximity switch (2).
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Removal of the lockwire:

WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the nut (4).
(4) Remove the nut (4) and the washer (3).
(5) Remove the proximity switch (2) from its support.
