A. Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Get Access

WARNING: STOP THE OPENING PROCEDURE IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES. IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES, REMAINING PRESSURE CAN CAUSE THE DOOR TO OPEN SUDDENLY AND CAN:

KILL OR CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONS
CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable emergency exit 833 or 834.
(2) Open the applicable emergency exit 833 or 834 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-002).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-003).

D. Removal of the Lining Panel
(1) Remove the lining panel:
(a) FOR [5WN1] (PROX SW-HANDLE, L FWD EMER EXIT ESC SLIDE)
833CZ (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-012).
(b) FOR [5WN2] (PROX SW-HANDLE, R FWD EMER EXIT ESC SLIDE)
834CZ (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-013).
(2) Remove the insulation blanket.

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-73-11-020-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Proximity Switch

Proximity Switches (5WN1, 5WN2) of the FWD Emergency Exits ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the proximity switch (2).
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Remove and discard the lockwire.
(4) Remove the nut (4) and the washer (3).
(5) Remove the proximity switch (2).
