A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position in front of avionics compartment door 811, 812, 822 or 824.
(3) Make sure that the applicable avionics compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002):

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-71-14-420-050-A

A. Installation of the Proximity Switch

Proximity Switches - Avionics Compartment Door

(1) Install the proximity switch (2) on the support (3).
(2) Install the washer (4) and the nut (5).
(3) TORQUE the nut (5) as follows:
(a) FOR [36WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, FWD AVIONICS COMPT DOOR), [23WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, L AVIONICS COMPT DOOR), [38WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, R AVIONICS COMPT DOOR)
TORQUE the nut (5) to between 6.3 and 5.7 m.N (55.75 and 50.44 lbf.in )

(b) FOR [40WV] (PROX SW-FRAME, AFT AVIONICS COMPT DOOR)
TORQUE the nut (5) to between 5.3 and 4.7 m.N (46.90 and 41.59 lbf.in )

WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(4) Safety the nut (5) with the 14QDB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.5 mm (0.020 inch) CRES Nickel Alloy -.
(5) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the electrical connector (1).
(6) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the proximity switch (2).
(7) Adjust the proximity switch (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-00-820-008) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-00-820-011).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
