A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the applicable emergency exit door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) is in position at the door frame.
(3) Make sure that you obeyed the special precaution before maintenance on the door damper and the emergency operation cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-003).
(4) Make sure that the cabin lining is removed from the applicable fuselage area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-009) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-010).
(5) Make sure that the insulation mats are removed from the applicable area.
Subtask 52-71-13-865-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the applicable emergency exit door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) is in position at the door frame.
(3) Make sure that you obeyed the special precaution before maintenance on the door damper and the emergency operation cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-003).
(4) Make sure that the cabin lining is removed from the applicable fuselage area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-009) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-010).
(5) Make sure that the insulation mats are removed from the applicable area.
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

Subtask 52-71-13-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of Proximity Switch
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Install the switch actuation mechanism as follows:
(a) If necessary, assemble the connection rod (14) to the segment assembly (15).
(b) Put the segment assembly (15) in position at the fuselage structure.
(c) Install the pin (18) and the washer (17) to attach the segment assembly (15).
(d) Safety the pin (18) with the new AIPC 52-22-04-08-120 COTTER PIN (16) or the new AIPC 52-22-84-40-120 COTTER PIN (16).
(e) Put the eye-end of the connection rod (14) in position at the link (21) and attach it with the washer (23) and the pin (20).
(f) Safety the pin (20) with the safety ring (24).
(5) Install the switch bracket (3) as follows:
(a) Put the switch bracket (3) in position and attach it with the screws (8), the washers (11) and the nuts (12).
(b) Put the link (21) in position at the switch bracket (3).
(c) Install the pin (19) and the washer (6) to connect the link (21) with the switch bracket (3).
(d) Safety the pin (19) with the safety ring (5).
(e) Install the spring (22) between the link (21) and the switch bracket (3).
(6) Install the proximity sensor (2) as follows:
(a) Put the proximity sensor (2) in position at the switch bracket (3).
(b) Install the locknut (7) with the lock washer (4). Make sure that the lock washer (4) is correctly engaged in the related hole at the switch bracket (3).
(c) TORQUE the locknut (7) to between 3.15 and 2.85 m.daN (23.23 and 21.02 lbf.ft )

(e) Remove the blanking caps from the connector (1) and the proximity sensor (2).
(f) Connect the connector (1) to the receptacle of the proximity sensor (2).
Subtask 52-71-13-820-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

(4) Install the switch actuation mechanism as follows:

(5) Install the switch bracket (3) as follows:
(a) Put the switch bracket (3) in position and attach it with the screws (8), the washers (11) and the nuts (12).
(b) Put the link (21) in position at the switch bracket (3).
(c) Install the pin (19) and the washer (6) to connect the link (21) with the switch bracket (3).
(d) Safety the pin (19) with the safety ring (5).
(e) Install the spring (22) between the link (21) and the switch bracket (3).
(6) Install the proximity sensor (2) as follows:
(a) Put the proximity sensor (2) in position at the switch bracket (3).
(b) Install the locknut (7) with the lock washer (4). Make sure that the lock washer (4) is correctly engaged in the related hole at the switch bracket (3).
(c) TORQUE the locknut (7) to between 3.15 and 2.85 m.daN (23.23 and 21.02 lbf.ft )
. WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(d) Safety the locknut (7) with (e) Remove the blanking caps from the connector (1) and the proximity sensor (2).
(f) Connect the connector (1) to the receptacle of the proximity sensor (2).
B. Adjustment of the Proximity Switch
(1) Do an adjustment of the applicable proximity switch (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-00-820-005).

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Operational Test
(1) Do an operational test to make sure that the proximity switch operates correctly (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-00-710-001).

Subtask 52-71-13-410-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the insulation mats in the applicable fuselage area.
(3) Install the cabin lining (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-009) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-010).
(4) Remove the safety barrier from the door frame.
(5) Do the special precaution procedure on the door damper and emergency operation cylinder after work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-004).
(6) Close the applicable emergency exit door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-001).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the insulation mats in the applicable fuselage area.
(3) Install the cabin lining (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-009) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-010).
(4) Remove the safety barrier from the door frame.
(5) Do the special precaution procedure on the door damper and emergency operation cylinder after work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-004).
(6) Close the applicable emergency exit door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-001).
